Then Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine but his who sent me.”So Jesus told them, “My message is not my own; it comes from God who sent me.”
Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.
You shall be holy to me; for I the Lord am holy, and I have separated you from the other peoples to be mine.You must be holy because I, the Lord, am holy. I have set you apart from all other people to be my very own.
Now therefore, if you obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession out of all the peoples. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave room for the wrath of God; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord.
They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, my special possession on the day when I act, and I will spare them as parents spare their children who serve them.“They will be my people,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child.”
For I am longing to see you so that I may share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— or rather so that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.
My child, if your heart is wise, my heart too will be glad.My child, if your heart is wise, my own heart will rejoice!
I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look upon a virgin?I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young woman.

I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”
My times are in your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors.My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and makes me tread upon the heights.The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.
I lift up my eyes to the hills— from where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!

Then I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the guilt of my sin. SelahFinally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.
Return, faithless Israel, says the Lord. I will not look on you in anger, for I am merciful, says the Lord; I will not be angry forever.O Israel, my faithless people, come home to me again, for I am merciful. I will not be angry with you forever.
If you conquer, you will be clothed like them in white robes, and I will not blot your name out of the book of life; I will confess your name before my Father and before his angels.All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit.I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin.
