Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. | God abides in anyone who acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, and that person abides in God. |
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. | But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. | Jesus replied, “This is the work of God: to believe in the one whom he has sent.” |
And set up over his head his accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews. | Above his head was inscribed the charge against him: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.” |
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. | Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. |
