My pleasure (2/4)

Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise.If you would seriously consider my reproof, I would pour out my thoughts to you and make my precepts known to you.
I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart. To do your will, O God, is my delight; your law is in my heart.
But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.In my anguish I cried out to the Lord and called to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I dwell in him.
Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!Why are you so disheartened, O my soul? Why do you sigh within me? Place your hope in God; for I will once again praise him, my Savior and my God.
I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.In God alone is my soul at rest; it is from him that my salvation comes.
When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.In God alone be at rest, O my soul; it is from him that my hope comes.
When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long.As long as I remained silent, my body wasted away as the result of my groaning throughout the day.
Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Then I acknowledged my sin to you, and I made no attempt to conceal my guilt. I said, “I will confess my offenses to the Lord,” and you removed the guilt of my sin. Selah
You must keep my Sabbath days of rest and show reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.Observe my Sabbaths and stand in awe before my sanctuary. I am the Lord.
The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom should I be afraid?
Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight.Your statutes are my everlasting heritage; they are the very joy of my heart.
You know what I long for, Lord; you hear my every sigh.O Lord, all my longing is known to you, and my sighs are not hidden from you.
But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me; you are my glory and the one who raises my head high.
You are my rock and my fortress. For the honor of your name, lead me out of this danger. You are truly my rock and my fortress; for the sake of your name, lead and guide me.
If you love me, obey my commandments. If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.
But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive!Surely God is my helper; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord.
I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!I lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where will I receive help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous.O Lord, hear my prayer, incline your ear to my supplications. In your faithfulness respond to me with your righteousness.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”The Lord is my portion, I say to myself; therefore, I will place my hope in him.
O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.O God, you are my God, for whom I have been searching earnestly. My soul yearns for you and my body thirsts for you, like the earth when it is parched, arid and without water.
