I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah | I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. |
O God, you are my God, I seek you, my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. | O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water. |
But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. | As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. |
My times are in your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors. | My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. |
Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my supplications in your faithfulness; answer me in your righteousness. | Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous. |
My child, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; for length of days and years of life and abundant welfare they will give you. | My child, never forget the things I have taught you. My child, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. | My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart. |
God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and makes me tread upon the heights. | The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights. |
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have rescued. | I will shout for joy and sing your praises, for you have ransomed me. |

But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” |
You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” | Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. |
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” | I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.” |

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. | Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light. |
Now therefore, if you obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession out of all the peoples.
