- I love you, Yahweh, my strength.
Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer;

Don’t be silent at my tears.
For I am a stranger with you,
a foreigner, as all my fathers were. - My soul, wait in silence for God alone,
for my expectation is from him. - I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. You will keep my ordinances and do them.
- He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him.
- Lord, all my desire is before you.
My groaning is not hidden from you. - When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
- I cried to him with my mouth.
He was extolled with my tongue. - I acknowledged my sin to you.
I didn’t hide my iniquity.
I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. - You shall keep my Sabbaths, and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am Yahweh.
- Yahweh is my light and my salvation.
Whom shall I fear?
Yahweh is the strength of my life.
Of whom shall I be afraid? - If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
- Behold, God is my helper.
The Lord is the one who sustains my soul. - “Yahweh is my portion,” says my soul.
“Therefore I will hope in him.” - But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. - “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. - In the multitude of my thoughts within me,
your comforts delight my soul. - In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.
- I will lift up my eyes to the hills.
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from Yahweh,
who made heaven and earth. - For you are my rock and my fortress,
therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me. - Listen, my son, and receive my sayings.
The years of your life will be many. - If you love me, keep my commandments.
- I spread out my hands to you.
My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. Selah. - Why are you in despair, my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God! For I shall still praise him,
the saving help of my countenance, and my God. - Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn’t be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here.”

I will earnestly seek you.
My soul thirsts for you.
My flesh longs for you,
in a dry and weary land, where there is no water. - But as for me, I will look to Yahweh.
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me. - Hear my prayer, Yahweh.
Listen to my petitions.
In your faithfulness and righteousness, relieve me. - My son, don’t forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
for they will add to you length of days,
years of life, and peace. - Jesus said to her, “Don’t hold me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
- My son, attend to my words.
Turn your ear to my sayings.
Let them not depart from your eyes.
Keep them in the center of your heart. - Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength.
He makes my feet like deer’s feet,
and enables me to go in high places. - My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord.
Apart from you I have no good thing.” - My times are in your hand.
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me. - My lips shall shout for joy!
My soul, which you have redeemed, sings praises to you! - He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.”
