Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. | All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. |
For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. | For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we are to love one another. |
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. | Little children, let’s not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. |
This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. | By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit. |
The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. | The world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever. |
I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. | These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. |
Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” | Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” |
