Bible Verses about 'Others'

So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.
But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. But I punish my body and enslave it, so that after proclaiming to others I myself should not be disqualified.
Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.
The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.A generous person will be enriched, and one who gives water will get water.
The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up.The Lord makes poor and makes rich; he brings low, he also exalts.
Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.Do not seek your own advantage, but that of the other.
Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.Do not judge, so that you may not be judged.
So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray.Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but one who rejects a rebuke goes astray.
You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.
Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety. The fear of others lays a snare, but one who trusts in the Lord is secure.
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.
Hiding hatred makes you a liar; slandering others makes you a fool.Lying lips conceal hatred, and whoever utters slander is a fool.
And when you fast, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get.And whenever you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so as to show others that they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.
When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that your fasting may be seen not by others but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.He was despised and rejected by others; a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity; and as one from whom others hide their faces he was despised, and we held him of no account.
In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable. Some judge one day to be better than another, while others judge all days to be alike. Let all be fully convinced in their own minds.
Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good.

But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.
