Bible Verses about 'Others'
- So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
- Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.
- But I punish my body and enslave it, so that after proclaiming to others I myself should not be disqualified.
- But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.
- For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- The fear of others lays a snare,
but one who trusts in the Lord is secure. - He was despised and rejected by others;
a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity;
and as one from whom others hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him of no account. - Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- A generous person will be enriched,
and one who gives water will get water. - And whenever you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so as to show others that they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
- Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.
- But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that your fasting may be seen not by others but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
- Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life,
but one who rejects a rebuke goes astray. - Some judge one day to be better than another, while others judge all days to be alike. Let all be fully convinced in their own minds.
- No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
- Do not seek your own advantage, but that of the other.
- Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
- Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.
- Love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor.
- The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low, he also exalts. - Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- Do not judge, so that you may not be judged.
- Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
- Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are.
- But even if you do suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear, and do not be intimidated.
- Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.
- Lying lips conceal hatred,
and whoever utters slander is a fool. - Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.
- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation, who consoles us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to console those who are in any affliction with the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.
- Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.
- Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right,
and speak the truth from their heart;
who do not slander with their tongue,
and do no evil to their friends,
nor take up a reproach against their neighbors. - For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.
- Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.
- A highway shall be there,
and it shall be called the Holy Way;
the unclean shall not travel on it,
but it shall be for God's people;
no traveler, not even fools, shall go astray. - Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good.
- But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.
- Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ.
- For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- Just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- Because you are precious in my sight,
and honored, and I love you,
I give people in return for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
- If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
- And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.
- As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
- If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
- Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
- But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God's grace.
- And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
