Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith.The proud man’s heart is not upright, but the righteous man will live because of his faith.
I have instructed you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in upright paths.I have instructed you in the ways of wisdom and led you along the paths of righteousness.
Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze on what lies before you.
You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’; and you are correct, for so I am.You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
The Lord is good and upright; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way.Good and upright is the Lord; therefore, he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them the path to follow.
For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.For light produces all goodness and righteousness and truth.
To do righteousness and justice Is preferred by the Lord more than sacrifice.To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread.Yet even if you should suffer for doing what is right, you are thereby blessed. Have no fear of others, and refuse to be intimidated by them.
One who walks with integrity, practices righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, Nor do evil to his neighbor, Nor bring shame on his friend.The one who leads a blameless life and does what is right, who speaks the truth from the heart and does not slander anyone, who does not harm a friend and does not scorn a neighbor.
Then you will discern righteousness, justice, And integrity, and every good path.Then you will understand equity and justice as well as righteousness—every good path.
Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.Finally, brethren, let your minds be filled with whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, whatever is excellent, whatever is worthy of praise.
A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word!A man is joyful when he utters apt answers, and even more satisfying is a word in season.
Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.Grant justice to the weak and the orphan; defend the rights of the lowly and the poor.
Sober up morally and stop sinning, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he grows older he will not abandon it.Train a child in the way he should go, and he will not deviate from it, even in old age.
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just; and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.Therefore, now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven. For all of his works are right, and all of his ways are just. Also, he is able to humble all those who follow the path of pride.
We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater.Brethren, we must always give thanks to God for you, and it is only right that we do so. For your faith grows ever more, and the love that all of you have for one another continues to increase.
The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and just is He.He is a rock, his deeds are perfect, and all of his ways are just. He is a God of truth who does no wrong; he is just and upright.
The one who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father on His throne.To anyone who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself overcame and sat with my Father on his throne.
And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?Now who is going to harm you if you are eager to do what is right?
All things are permitted, but not all things are of benefit. All things are permitted, but not all things build people up.“All things are lawful,” you may say—but not all things are beneficial. All things may be lawful—but not all things are constructive.
All things are permitted for me, but not all things are of benefit. All things are permitted for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not allow myself to be dominated by anything.
Better is a little with righteousness Than great income with injustice.It is better to have little and be righteous than to acquire great riches with injustice.
He has told you, mortal one, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor, Obtain justice for the orphan, Plead for the widow’s case.And learn to do good. Pursue justice and rescue the oppressed; listen to the plea of the orphan and defend the widow.
