Save (2/2)

The ransom of a man's life is his wealth, but a poor man hears no threat. The rich can pay a ransom for their lives, but the poor won’t even get threatened.
In you, O Lord, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me!O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right.
But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.
Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name's sake!Help us, O God of our salvation! Help us for the glory of your name. Save us and forgive our sins for the honor of your name.
The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.
Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died.
For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit.
Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
