- Like a city that is broken into and without walls
So is a person who has no self-control over his spirit. - Do not lie to one another, since you stripped off the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it.

- Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer person is decaying, yet our inner person is being renewed day by day.
- For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.
- One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
And one who rules his spirit, than one who captures a city. - The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.
