- Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. - I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.
- For the Lord loves the just
and will not forsake his faithful ones.
Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed;
the offspring of the wicked will perish. - He answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
- I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips. - The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
- Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident. - Here is a trustworthy saying:
If we died with him,
we will also live with him. - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled. - Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.
- I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts. - Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave.
- For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
- Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.”
- Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
- Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
- A generous person will prosper;
whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. - Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
- I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
- “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
- Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God. - “No weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and this is their vindication from me,”
declares the Lord. - Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
- The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.Next verse!With image
