- Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
- For he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones. - Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes. - Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
- Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord;
may your love and faithfulness always protect me. - Very truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.
- Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
- Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
- He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’
- Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
- For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.
- He builds his lofty palace in the heavens
and sets its foundation on the earth;
he calls for the waters of the sea
and pours them out over the face of the land—
the Lord is his name. - If you love me, keep my commands.
- And a highway will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness;
it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it. - If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.
- Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
- Whoever would foster love covers over an offense,
but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. - The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - I fell to the ground and heard a voice say to me, ‘Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute me?’
- You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance. - In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
deliver me in your righteousness. - By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life. - Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long. - Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;
save me and I will be saved,
for you are the one I praise. - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground.
