| Without consultation, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they succeed. | Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. |
| May He grant you your heart’s desire And fulfill your whole plan! | May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. |
| He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity. | He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless. |
| Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way, Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes. | Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. |
| I have seen that every labor and every skill which is done is the result of rivalry between a person and his neighbor. This too is futility and striving after wind. | And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. |
| May the kindness of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands. | May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands. |
| Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart. | Do your duty to the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His ordinances, and His testimonies, according to what is written in the Law of Moses, so that you may succeed in all that you do and wherever you turn. | Observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses.
