- Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
- Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
- For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm give them victory;
but your right hand, and your arm,
and the light of your countenance,
for you delighted in them. - You shall not abuse any widow or orphan. If you do abuse them, when they cry out to me, I will surely heed their cry; my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children orphans.
Jesus said to him, “If you are able!—All things can be done for the one who believes.” Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”Next verse!With image
