- Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
- Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
- For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm give them victory;
but your right hand, and your arm,
and the light of your countenance,
for you delighted in them. - You shall not abuse any widow or orphan. If you do abuse them, when they cry out to me, I will surely heed their cry; my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children orphans.
Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way. I have said this to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!Next verse!With image
