| For you need endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. | Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. |

| In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; God has made the one as well as the other, so that mortals may not find out anything that will come after them. | Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life. |

I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. |
| We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. | And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. |
| Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus. | You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. |

| But those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty.
