| While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him!” | While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud cast a shadow over them. | When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their evil way, then God relented of the disaster which He had declared He would bring on them. So He did not do it. | When God saw by their actions that they had turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not inflict upon them the punishment that he had threatened. |

And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.” |
| Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor. | Pay to each person what is rightfully his—taxes to the one to whom taxes are due, tolls to the one to whom tolls are due, respect to the one to whom respect is due, honor to the one to whom honor is due. |

| But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. | However, to those who did accept him and who believed in his name he granted the power to become children of God. |

| For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. | For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works that God had prepared for us to do. |
| Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. | Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not demand the return of what is yours from the one who has taken it. |
