| And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. | Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” |
| For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. | For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. |
| What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? | What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
| And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. | If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. |
| Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. | No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. |
| And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. | And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. |
| But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. | The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. |
| Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. | Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world. |
| For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. | For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. |
| But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. | But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. |
| Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. | “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” |
| His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. | His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ |
| And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. | All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. |
| For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. | For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. |
| Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. | But test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil. |
| He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. | He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. |
| Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. | Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. |
| Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. | Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. |
| But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. | Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. |
| These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. | I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. |
| Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. | Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. |
| And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. | In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. |
| Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. | Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. |
| But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. | But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. |
| And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. | Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. |
