Have no fear of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, fear the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due when it is in your power to grant it.Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in your power to do it.
Turn away from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart.Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
Then Jesus said to him, “You have come to believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you now believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”
When riches increase, so do those who are eager to accumulate them, and those who have accumulated them must remain content simply to feast their eyes on them.When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them?
Blessed is the man who perseveres when he is tempted, for when he has been proven, he will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.
For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so too do we believe that God will bring forth with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.For if we believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead, so also God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.
If you, then, despite your evil nature, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?
However, to those who did accept him and who believed in his name he granted the power to become children of God.But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and daughters of God.
Blessed are all those who fear the Lord and walk in his ways.Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.
No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a pot or places it under a bed. Rather he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light.Now no one lights a lamp and covers it over with a container, or puts it under a bed; but he puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in may see the light.
Do the things that you have learned, received, and heard from me and that you saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert for forty days, where he was tempted by the devil. But according to Scripture all things have been confined under sin, so that through faith in Jesus Christ what was promised might be given to those who believe.But the Scripture has confined everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; those who are guided by it will grow in understanding. His praise will last forever.The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; All those who follow His commandments have a good understanding; His praise endures forever.
A highway will be there that will be called the Way of Holiness. No one who is unclean may pass over it; it will serve as a path for pilgrims and no fool will be able to use it.A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for the one who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it.
O Lord, you grant peace to those who are steadfast because of their trust in you.The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.
However, those who want riches fall into temptations and are trapped into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge people into ruin and destruction.
The future bodes well for him who is generous in helping those in need and who conducts his affairs with justice.It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment.
At the time that discipline is received, it always seems painful rather than pleasant, but afterward it yields a harvest of peace and uprightness to those who have been trained by it.For the moment, all discipline seems not to be pleasant, but painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.
Give proper consideration to those widows who are truly in need.Honor widows who are actually widows.

I urge you, brethren, to watch out for those who incite dissensions and obstacles in opposition to the teaching that you have learned. Take care to avoid them.Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.
