A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in abundance. | The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. |
Test everything, and hold fast to what is good. Avoid every form of evil. | Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. |

The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him. | The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him. |
The Lord will fulfill his plan for me. Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the work of your hands. | The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. |
