Bible Verses about 'Under'

Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.
Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.And the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.
He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth. Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth.
So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment. Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment.
Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is good. It is good for people to eat, drink, and enjoy their work under the sun during the short life God has given them, and to accept their lot in life.Behold, that which I have seen to be good and proper is for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy good in all his labor, in which he labors under the sun, all the days of his life which God has given him; for this is his portion.
But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ. But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang: “Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.”I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!”
That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant. For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean! He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot. You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.
When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it.For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
You have given me your shield of victory. Your right hand supports me; your help has made me great. You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping. You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great. You have enlarged my steps under me, My feet have not slipped.
And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment. One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. But I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.
You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.
In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.
