This is what the Lord says: “Stand by the ways and see… Jeremiah 6:16

This is what the Lord says: “Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find a resting place for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’” Jeremiah 6:16	These are the words of the Lord of hosts: Stand at the crossroads and look around; ask for the ancient paths. When you are shown where the good way lies, walk along it and your souls will find rest. However, they said, “We will not take it.” rest soul goodness
And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the Lord’s commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good? For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly practice justice between a person and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the orphan, or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, nor follow other gods to your own ruin, then I will let you live in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever. When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their evil way, then God relented of the disaster which He had declared He would bring on them. So He did not do it. Jonah 3:10	When God saw by their actions that they had turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not inflict upon them the punishment that he had threatened. repentance forgiveness grace
Every person’s way is right in his own eyes, But the Lord examines the hearts. Proverbs 21:2	A man’s ways may seem right to him, but the Lord weighs the heart. righteousness judgment understanding

If, because of the Sabbath, you restrain your foot From doing as you wish on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a pleasure, and the holy day of the Lord honorable, And honor it, desisting from your own ways, From seeking your own pleasure And speaking your own word, Then you will take delight in the Lord, And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. Let the wicked abandon his way, And the unrighteous person his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. The Lord is good and upright; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way. Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. Stop doing evil. Isaiah 1:16	Wash yourselves and become clean; remove your evil deeds far from my sight. Cease to do evil. sin purification evil
So it shall be when he becomes guilty of one of these things, that he shall confess that in which he has sinned. Leviticus 5:5	Therefore, when someone is guilty of any one of these things, he shall confess the sin he has committed. confession sin
There is a way which seems right to a person, But its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12	There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it leads to death. righteousness life sin
Many will be purged, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand. Daniel 12:10	Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will persist in their evil ways. purification sin understanding
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride, arrogance, the evil way, And the perverted mouth, I hate. Proverbs 8:13	The fear of the Lord implies hatred of evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil ways and perverse speech. awe pride evil
Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. 1 Peter 1:18-19	For you are aware that you were ransomed from your futile way of life inherited from your ancestors not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. The Lord watches over strangers; He supports the fatherless and the widow, But He thwarts the way of the wicked. Psalm 146:9	The Lord watches over the stranger and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he blocks the way of the wicked. protection orphans widows
Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. James 3:13	Who among you is wise and understanding? Prove by your good life that your works are done with the humility that comes from wisdom. humility wisdom life
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. Romans 13:14	Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires. desires addiction Jesus
Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way, Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes. Psalm 37:7	Wait quietly for the Lord and be patient until he comes. Do not fret over the man who prospers because of his evil schemes. honesty life patience

But He knows the way I take; When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold. My foot has held on to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside.

And yet he is aware of everywhere I go; if he were to test me, I would emerge like pure gold. My footsteps have not strayed from the path he established; I have followed his way and never turned aside.
