The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.A good man produces good from the store of goodness in his heart, whereas an evil man produces evil from the store of evil within him. For the mouth speaks from the abundance of the heart.
But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your charitable giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Your almsgiving must be done in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar.A man’s attraction is his kindness; it is far better to be poor than to be a liar.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much.
Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.Be on your guard that you do not lose what we have worked to accomplish so that you will receive your reward in full.

For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.
When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it, for God has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill the vow you have made.
It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.He reveals deep and hidden mysteries and knows what lies in the darkness, for light dwells with him.
Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with your whole heart, considering the great things he has done for you.
Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.Pay to each person what is rightfully his—taxes to the one to whom taxes are due, tolls to the one to whom tolls are due, respect to the one to whom respect is due, honor to the one to whom honor is due.
The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Your faithfulness, Lord, is everlasting; Do not abandon the works of Your hands.The Lord will fulfill his plan for me. Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the work of your hands.
See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek what is good for one another and for all people.Make sure that no one pays back evil for evil. Rather, always aim to achieve what is best for each other and for everyone.
If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple.
When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them?When riches increase, so do those who are eager to accumulate them, and those who have accumulated them must remain content simply to feast their eyes on them.
Now go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.Go and learn what this text means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ I have come to call not the righteous but sinners.
For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want.For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, and those of the Spirit are opposed to the flesh. They are in conflict with one another, so that you cannot do what you want.
For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to rein in the whole body as well.For all of us fall short in many ways. Anyone who never makes a mistake in speech has reached perfection and is able to control every part of his body.
And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.And the one who searches hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?What then shall we say? Should we persist in sin in order that grace may abound? Of course not! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer?
But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots, dividing His garments among themselves.Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.
To whom God willed to make known what the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is Christ in you, the hope of glory.To these God chose to make known how rich is the priceless glory that this mystery brings to the Gentiles—Christ in you, your hope of glory.
Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,”Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”
So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it.So shall my word be that issues forth from my mouth. It will not return to me unfulfilled, but it will accomplish my purpose and achieve what I sent it forth to do.
But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.

Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; be careful about what you do, for the Lord our God will have no part in injustice or partiality, or in the taking of a bribe.Now let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful in your judgments, for the Lord, our God, will not tolerate the perversion of justice, or partiality, or the taking of bribes.
