What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good.Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you may ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
So then, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
For our eyes are fixed not on what is seen but rather on that which cannot be seen. What is visible is transitory; what is invisible is eternal.So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
And whenever you stand in prayer, forgive whatever grievance you have against anybody, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your wrongs too.And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
As for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine.You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine.

Observe the ordinances of the Lord, your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and what he witnessed in writing in the law of Moses. In this way you will prosper in whatever you do and wherever you go.Observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.
What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his very life? Or what can he give in exchange for his life?What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
Let everyone submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which derives from God, and whatever authorities exist have been instituted by God.Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
As long as the goodwill is present, the gift will be acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
What then should we say? That the Law is sinful? Absolutely not! Yet if it had not been for the Law, I would not have known what sin was. I would not have known what covet is if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
For the Son of Man has come to seek out and to save what was lost.For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
Now who is going to harm you if you are eager to do what is right?Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?
Whatever moves and has life will be used for your food. I give you all these things, just as I have already given you every green plant. For God will repay everyone in accordance with what his deeds deserve.God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”
Take delight in the Lord, and he will grant you what your heart desires.Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
With the Lord to protect me I am not afraid. What can mortals do to me?The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
Let what you heard from the beginning remain in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, then you will remain in the Son and in the Father.As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.

What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his very life?What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?

What then if you were to behold the Son of Man ascend to where he was before?Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
