| In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. | And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent. |
| Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. | Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. |
