What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. | Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy. |

Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. | So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. |

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. | Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. |
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. | Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die. |
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. | Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock. |
