| What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
| Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness. | But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. |

| One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty; one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city. | Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city. |
| He who guards his mouth guards his soul. One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. | Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. |
| Blessed are those who keep his statutes, who seek him with their whole heart. | Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart. |
| Most certainly I tell you, he who receives whomever I send, receives me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me. | Very truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me. |
| He who gets wisdom loves his own soul. He who keeps understanding shall find good. | The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper. |

| But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ. | But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. |
| Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. | Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. |
| To those who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life. | To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. |
| When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.” | On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.” |
