| I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. | I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous ordinances. |

| For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |

| But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me. | When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf. |
| Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. | Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way. |
| But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. | But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first. |
| But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. | But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you. |
| Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. | Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray. |
| So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. | So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” |
| For with God nothing shall be impossible. | For nothing will be impossible with God. |
| For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us. | For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler, the Lord is our king; he will save us. |
| And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. | And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. |
| And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. | I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances. |
| The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. | A generous person will be enriched, and one who gives water will get water. |

| And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. | And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. |
| For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee. | When the Lord your God has blessed you, as he promised you, you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you. |
| If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. | If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. |
| And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. | The angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God.” |

| He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
