When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them? Ecclesiastes 5:11	The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers! materialism money desires
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones. Proverbs 3:7-8	Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him? 1 John 3:17	If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? money neighbor compassion
Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels? Matthew 26:53	Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly? protection Jesus angels
Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification. Romans 15:2	We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. selfishness encouragement neighbor

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age. Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established; that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.

For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.
