Women in rebellion (3/4)

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.
Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases. Our God is in the heavens, and he does as he wishes.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.
Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.
For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night. For you, a thousand years are as a passing day, as brief as a few night hours.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness.I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths.
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.
For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away.Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them. And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field.
Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Bible verse of the day

Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man's envy of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.
