Bible Verses about 'Work'

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and prosper for us the work of our hands— O prosper the work of our hands!May the kindness of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands.
Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”
Six days shall work be done; but the seventh day is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work: it is a sabbath to the Lord throughout your settlements. For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work; it is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwellings.
For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. For the word of the Lord is right, And all His work is done in faithfulness.
I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ. For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work among you will complete it by the day of Christ Jesus.
And steadfast love belongs to you, O Lord. For you repay to all according to their work. And faithfulness is Yours, Lord, For You reward a person according to his work.
So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set Barnabas and Saul apart for Me for the work to which I have called them.”
See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone's work.Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to reward each one as his work deserves.
Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be firm, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, by having served and by still serving the saints.
The Rock, his work is perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God, without deceit, just and upright is he.The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and just is He.
Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.Commit your works to the Lord, And your plans will be established.
And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work. And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.
Observe the sabbath day and keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work. But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, or your son or your daughter, or your male or female slave, or your ox or your donkey, or any of your livestock, or the resident alien in your towns, so that your male and female slave may rest as well as you.Keep the Sabbath day to treat it as holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. For six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; you shall not do any work that day, you or your son or your daughter, or your male slave or your female slave, or your ox, your donkey, or any of your cattle, or your resident who stays with you, so that your male slave and your female slave may rest as well as you.
Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from one person's envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.I have seen that every labor and every skill which is done is the result of rivalry between a person and his neighbor. This too is futility and striving after wind.
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Your faithfulness, Lord, is everlasting; Do not abandon the works of Your hands.
Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal.Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal.
Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work. But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it.Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. For six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; on it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male slave or your female slave, or your cattle, or your resident who stays with you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and everything that is in them, and He rested on the seventh day; for that reason the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother's womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything.Just as you do not know the path of the wind, and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes everything.
Woe to you who strive with your Maker, earthen vessels with the potter! Does the clay say to the one who fashions it, “What are you making”? or “Your work has no handles”?Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker— A piece of pottery among the other earthenware pottery pieces! Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’ Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?
Well then, does God supply you with the Spirit and work miracles among you by your doing the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
In all toil there is profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. In all labor there is profit, But mere talk leads only to poverty.

Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
