“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil. | Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. |
One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind. | One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. |
Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you, therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life. | Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. |
Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time! | A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! |
You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of lies. | Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. A man’s steps are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way. | The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. |
These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. | And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. |
