Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.
Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.We, being Jews by nature and not Gentile sinners, yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!”
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it.
Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life.The result of humility and the fear of Yahweh is wealth, honor, and life.
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever! Amen.
