Believe (2/2)

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God.
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.But ask in faith, never doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.
Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.For Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but must endure God's wrath.
Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.Who is it that conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.Let it be known to you therefore, my brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you; by this Jesus everyone who believes is set free from all those sins from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.
Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the good news that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand, through which also you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message that I proclaimed to you—unless you have come to believe in vain.
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died. And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them.
We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is justified not by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by doing the works of the law, because no one will be justified by the works of the law.
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?Well then, does God supply you with the Spirit and work miracles among you by your doing the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?

In my distress I called to the Lord;
I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came before him, into his ears.
