| Without any doubt, the mystery of our religion is great: He was made visible in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed to the Gentiles, believed in throughout the world, taken up in glory. | Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory. |
| As servants of God, behave as free people, but do not use your freedom as a means to cover up wrongdoing. | Live as free people, yet not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God. |
| But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me; you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. | But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. |
