But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even look up to heaven, but was beating his breast and saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’

He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk blamelessly.He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless.

This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
It is you who light my lamp; the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.The Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous.
See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death; then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified; and on the third day he will be raised.We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident.Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
