This is how we know if they have the Spirit of God: If a person claiming to be a prophet acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person has the Spirit of God. But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here. 1 John 4:2-3	By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind. And after selling it, the money was also yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life. When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3	As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue. strength life receiving
After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. 1 Timothy 6:7-8	For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. food materialism contentment
So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. Hebrews 4:9-10	There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. sabbath rest work
As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. Psalm 42:1	As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. God desires
Serve only the Lord your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him. Deuteronomy 13:4	You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. awe listening following
But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. Luke 8:16	No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. honesty holiness light

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

Bible verse of the day

You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things.
