Those who place their hope in the Lord will regain their strength. They will soar as with eagles’ wings, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not become faint. | Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. |
For I will provide the weary with all they need, and I will restore the strength of all those who have grown faint with hunger. | For I give plenty of water to the weary ones, and refresh everyone who languishes. |

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the eternal God, the Creator of the earth’s farthest boundaries. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding cannot be scrutinized. | Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is unsearchable. |
He gives strength to the weary and new vigor to those who are powerless. | He gives strength to the weary, And to the one who lacks might He increases power. |
Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outer self is continuing to decay, our inner self is being renewed day by day. | Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer person is decaying, yet our inner person is being renewed day by day. |
One who despairs should have the support of his friends even if he has forsaken the fear of the Almighty. | For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend; So that he does not abandon the fear of the Almighty. |
Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time. | Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary. |
O God, you are my God, for whom I have been searching earnestly. My soul yearns for you and my body thirsts for you, like the earth when it is parched, arid and without water. | God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water. |
I am confident that I will behold the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. | I certainly believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. |
