- Those who place their hope in the Lord
will regain their strength.
They will soar as with eagles’ wings,
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not become faint. - For I will provide the weary with all they need, and I will restore the strength of all those who have grown faint with hunger.
- Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the eternal God,
the Creator of the earth’s farthest boundaries.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding cannot be scrutinized. - He gives strength to the weary
and new vigor to those who are powerless. - Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outer self is continuing to decay, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
- One who despairs should have the support of his friends
even if he has forsaken the fear of the Almighty. - Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
- O God, you are my God,
for whom I have been searching earnestly.
My soul yearns for you
and my body thirsts for you,
like the earth when it is parched,
arid and without water. - I am confident that I will behold the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Yet, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay and you are our potter;
all of us are the work of your hands. But who am I, and what are your people,
that we should be able to do this?
All things belong to you,
and everything that we have given you is from your hand.Next verse!With image
