| But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. | But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God. |
| And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. | But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people.” |

| I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. | Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. |

But as his anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, abide in him. |

| For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. | For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles, so that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ |
| The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. | The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry. |

| Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. | Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not make room for the devil. |
| Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. | Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have. |

| And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. | Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” |
| Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. | Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be known in all the earth. |
