For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles, so that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’
The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.
Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.

And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.If the member refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if the offender refuses to listen even to the church, let such a one be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not make room for the devil.
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”
The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright, but destruction for evildoers.

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be known in all the earth.
And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.”
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.
Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.Take words with you and return to the Lord; say to him, “Take away all guilt; accept that which is good, and we will offer the fruit of our lips.”
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.I urge you, brothers and sisters, to keep an eye on those who cause dissensions and offenses, in opposition to the teaching that you have learned; avoid them.
Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.You must neither add anything to what I command you nor take away anything from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God with which I am charging you.
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”

Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever.Keep his statutes and his commandments, which I am commanding you today for your own well-being and that of your descendants after you, so that you may long remain in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
