For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever. Jeremiah 7:5-7	But I will be merciful only if you stop your evil thoughts and deeds and start treating each other with justice; only if you stop exploiting foreigners, orphans, and widows; only if you stop your murdering; and only if you stop harming yourselves by worshiping idols. And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined. Numbers 15:39	When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do. law obedience desires
He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray. Proverbs 10:17	People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray. obedience life listening
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Romans 6:15	Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! sin grace law
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. Deuteronomy 5:11	You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name. law punishment
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 1 John 1:6	So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. sin honesty truth
Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore. Psalm 121:7-8	The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. hope life evil
Good and upright is the Lord; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way. Psalm 25:8-9	The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way. righteousness humility learning
For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. Philippians 1:23-24	I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live. death life
The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet. Nahum 1:3	The Lord is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet. patience strength punishment
Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. Deuteronomy 8:3	Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. suffering Word of God life
