I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Now waiting for me is the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day—and not only to me, but to all those who have eagerly longed for his appearance.I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. The love of money is the root of all evils, and in their desire for it some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many serious wounds.For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains.
Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.
By faith Abraham also received the power of procreation, even though he was well past the age—and Sarah herself was barren—because he believed that the one who had made the promise would be faithful in fulfilling it.By faith he received power of procreation, even though he was too old—and Sarah herself was barren—because he considered him faithful who had promised.

If I have the gift of prophecy and the ability to understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and have all the faith necessary to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
The powerful suffer want and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord want for no good thing.The young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
For I am longing to see you so that I may bestow on you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— or, rather, so that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.For I am longing to see you so that I may share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— or rather so that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him.The Lord is good, a stronghold in a day of trouble; he protects those who take refuge in him.
