Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son. Deuteronomy 8:5	You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you. Father learning punishment
Take heed to follow the commandments and the laws that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you: to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways and to observe his commandments, holding fast to him and serving him with all your heart and all your soul. Joshua 22:5	But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul. law heart soul

You shall not hate your brother in your heart, nor shall you rebuke your brother in any way, lest you bear sin because of him. Trust wholeheartedly in the Lord rather than relying on your own intelligence. In everything you do, acknowledge him, and he will see that your paths are straight. Proverbs 3:5-6	Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. trust dependence heart
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You place your trust in God. Trust also in me. John 14:1	Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. trust fear worrying
To do your will, O God, is my delight; your law is in my heart. Psalm 40:9	I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart. obedience law heart
And so now, O Israel, what does the Lord, your God, require of you but to fear the Lord, your God, to walk in all of his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, and to observe the commandments and the statutes that I am giving you today for your own good. I further pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know the hope to which he has called you, how rich and glorious is his inheritance in the saints. Even should my heart and my flesh fail, God is the rock of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26	My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. strength life dependence
Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render fair judgments, and show kindness and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor. Do not plot evil in your heart against one another. Zechariah 7:9-10	Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Execute true justice, Show mercy and compassion Everyone to his brother. For one believes in the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved. Romans 10:10	For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. faith speaking salvation
I will offer praise to you, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will recount all your wondrous deeds. Psalm 9:2	I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. worship gratitude miracles

Rend your hearts and not your garments, and turn back to the Lord, your God. For he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, rich in kindness, and always prepared to relent from punishing.

So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.
