- I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever.
- Yahweh preserves the foreigners.
He upholds the fatherless and widow,
but he turns the way of the wicked upside down. - Yahweh is with you while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
- Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.
- The Rock: his work is perfect,
for all his ways are just.
A God of faithfulness who does no wrong,
just and right is he. - He sat down and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”
- You who love Yahweh, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of his saints.
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - He answered them, “He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.”
- He was there with Yahweh forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread, nor drank water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
- Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- But he knows the way that I take.
When he has tried me, I will come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps.
I have kept his way, and not turned away. - So we fasted and begged our God for this, and he granted our request.
- Also delight yourself in Yahweh,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. - Commit your way to Yahweh.
Trust also in him, and he will do this:
he will make your righteousness shine out like light,
and your justice as the noon day sun. - May he grant you your heart’s desire,
and fulfill all your counsel. - Because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
- Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” Having said this, he breathed his last.
- Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength.
He makes my feet like deer’s feet,
and enables me to go in high places. - Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people.
He crowns the humble with salvation. - Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
- Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is. Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
- But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
- Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts.
Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him,
to our God, for he will freely pardon. - But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives.
In the end, he will stand upon the earth.
