For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son… John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may attain eternal life. Then Jesus said to those Jews who did believe in him, “If you remain faithful to my word, you will truly be my disciples. You are from your father, the devil, and you choose to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he does not abide by the truth, for there is no truth in him.
