| Whatever you ask in my name I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. | And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. |
| Whoever possesses the Son possesses life; whoever does not possess the Son of God does not possess life. | He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. |
| And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. | And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. |
| And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you forever. | And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. |
| I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. | These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. |
| This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. | And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. |
| This is how we can be certain that we abide in him and that he abides in us: he has given us a share in his Spirit. | By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. |
| So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. | If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. |
| If you know me, then you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him. You have seen him. | If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him. |
| I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I do ask you to protect them from the evil one. | I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. |
| Jesus then said, “I will remain with you only for a short time longer, and then I shall return to him who sent me.” | Then Jesus said to them, “I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me.” |
| And eternal life is this: to know you, the only true God, and the one you have sent, Jesus Christ. | And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. |
