By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. | Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. |
My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. | Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. |

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. | Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. |

By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. | And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. |
And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. | And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers. |
Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” | Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” |
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. | You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. |
And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. | And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. |
These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. | I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! |
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. | And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. |
If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. | And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. |
Then Jesus said to them, “I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me.” | But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.” |
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. | And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. |
I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. | Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. |

I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. | I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. |
