From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. But when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”But when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist.Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness.
