| If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? | But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? |
| I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them. | And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. |

| Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly. | Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. |

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. |
| Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. | O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. |
| The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. | The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. |
| He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth. | He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. |
| But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. | Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? | Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? |
| But the Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love. | Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy. |
| If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. | And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. |
| But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul. | But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. |
| And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good. | And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? |
| For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. | For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. |
| For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy. | In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. |
| O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. | For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. |
| For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. | For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. |
